THINGS TO DO IN BOOTHBAY HARBOR

Boothbay Harbor provides you with easy access to a variety of unique activities.

As you might expect, many of these activities center around the water. For example, you can take a short boat tour of the harbor. Or you can venture farther out to Monhegan Island. Just twelve miles off the coast, Monhegan Island is a sparsely populated island with miles of hiking trails, dense forests and a rugged coastline.

If you'd prefer to stay inland, you can visit the amazing Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, with its 250 acres of gardens, flowers, and waterfalls. Enoy a quick stop at the Maine State Aquarium, which features a "petting tank."  Take a drive to the Maine Maritime Museum.

REVIEWS

I just returned from a week’s stay at Stephanie’s inn. It was a great place to unwind and perfectly situated so as to not have to worry about parking—a very short walk into the busy and boutiquey town center and yet far enough away to find quiet spots both inside and outside the inn. Stephanie is a great cook who makes wonderful breakfasts and she is a lovely hostess, warm and welcoming. She’s the kind of person you’d like to have as your neighbor (instead of the neighbor you have).
Week Long Retreat. lynn p, Trip Advisor
We picked Boothbay Harbour as our home base for a short trip to mid-coast Maine in September. The Harbour Towne Inn was a perfect place to stay. It is a B&B in an old house in a more residential block of Townsend Ave, just about a block from the beginning of the commercial;tourist area. Each room has access to a mostly private outdoor space and it is on the water. Coffee is available early and also in the afternoon along with homemade cookies, and there is a delicious hot breakfast every morning. The rooms are comfortable and the innkeeper Stefanie was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Boothbay Harbor
